Central Motor Services was founded in 1964 by my father, Don Chick, and is now run by me alongside my son, Declan, marking the third generation of the Chick family in the motor trade. Before 1964, our family worked as blacksmiths, a tradition dating back to the 19th century, starting with George and Fred and later my grandfather, Albert Chick. Altogether, from horses to cars, six generations of our family have been involved in transportation.
