Central Motor Services was founded in 1964 by Don Chick and has a long and proud history of serving the local community. The Chick family’s involvement in the motor trade can be traced back generations, with the family originally working as blacksmiths dating back to the 19th century. From horses to cars, six generations of the family have been involved in transportation, helping to establish the strong foundations and reputation that Central Motor Services has built over the years.

Today, Central Motor Services is entering an exciting new chapter. My name is Craig, and I’m delighted to have taken over the business and to be continuing its journey into the future. I have worked alongside Steve for many years, gaining valuable experience and building strong relationships with customers along the way, and I’m proud to carry that experience forward into the next chapter of the business.

Following a full refurbishment, Central Motor Services will officially reopen on 1st September. While the business may be under new ownership, our commitment remains the same — to provide a friendly, honest and reliable service that customers can trust.

We look forward to welcoming back our existing customers, meeting new customers and continuing to build on the reputation and heritage of Central Motor Services for many years to come.
